Win a Chance to Have a Sleepover at Your Local IKEA Store

I love the IKEA stores and can wonder around looking at all that on offer for hours, so when I found out that IKEA were running a competition where a select group of winners would get a chance to spend the night at their local IKEA store I had to share it.

IKEA is getting set to open its doors nationwide to give lucky Australians the ultimate overnight sleep experience, to allow fans to get ready for life in the best way and wake up with IKEA.

According to The Sleep Health Foundation poor sleep is increasingly common amongst Australians, with one in three people regularly struggling with their sleep.

IKEA know that Aussies are looking for better solutions and greater education around sleep. In response, the global homewares giant has announced that it is opening the doors of stores around the country to offer lucky fans a once-in-a-lifetime overnight experience.

The overnight instore experiences are strictly open to competition winners (one couple or family)* across select IKEA stores nationally. The lucky winners will experience:

  • A tailored sleep zone. Drawing on knowledge from the IKEA Complete Sleep Studio, an IKEA co-worker will spend time with winners to get a deep understanding of their sleep style. The winners will then enjoy a perfectly curated sleep zone including a comfy mattress, their choice of linen, the perfect pillow and sensory elements all personalised to their unique sleep needs.
  • A menu of activities to entertain soothe and relax. Drawing on the IKEA understanding of how we live at home, winners will enjoy a pre-sleep massage, relaxation techniques, movie time, bed time snacks and guidance from a sleep expert.

  • Dining designed for sleep. A delicious dinner and the perfect start to the day with an IKEA breakfast served in bed.

    • •

The experience will transport the winners to an all-encompassing haven of relaxation, comfort and quality sleep with a variety of interactive activities and expert advice carefully curated with each individual guest in mind.

Mark Mitchinson, IKEA Australia, said: “These tailored experiences – which are taking place in most stores around the country – are designed to inspire Australians to prioritise a good night of sleep, in order to better take on the day. This really is a one-off opportunity to wake up with IKEA.

“At IKEA, our research has shown that Australians are still struggling to get a good night’s sleep, so we’re excited to be able to share inspiring and informed solutions for the bedroom.

“While this experience is only open to a select group of lucky IKEA fans, ultimately, we want to inspire the many Australians to create their own healthy sleep environment in their homes, helping them feel refreshed and recharged to get ready for life.

“Aussies spend around one-third of their lives asleep, but a good night sleep is about more than just a mattress. So while, we are opening the doors for the lucky few to sleep in a store, the new interactive technology embedded throughout the Complete Sleep Studio in the IKEA Tempe store – and soon to launch in stores around the country – offers all our customers the opportunity to understand more about their sleep habits and pain points to reveal their ideal sleep solution; from the perfect pillow, mattress and linen”.

To enter the Wake Up with IKEA competition and win a once in a lifetime overnight experience with IKEA and a complete bedroom solution to take home, fans must visit their local participating store (IKEA Logan, IKEA North Lakes, IKEA Canberra, IKEA Tempe, IKEA Rhodes or IKEA Adelaide) on 23 or 24 February 2019 and tell IKEA in 25 words or less why they want a better night sleep with IKEA.
