The Charleston Breathes New Life into Glebe’s Dining Scene

Glebe has being known for its strip of Restaurants and Bars, grungy, down to earth and sometimes not so delicious. So when I was invited to pop in and check out the newly opened The Charleston in Glebe I immediately said yes. On entering you’re welcomed by a beautiful bar, and as you step further into the restaurant the soft pastel colours immediately make you feel at ease. It’s airy and light with lots of natural light flooding in from a skylight, and the service somehow manages to be both welcoming and efficient.

The Food

The menu is varied and focuses on fresh and seasonal ingredients, and drivers for both meat eaters and non meat eaters. The mix of ingredients to create beautiful dishes like the king fish on toast, cauliflower popcorn tacos and the melt in your mouth beef short rib is both delightful and considered.

The Drinks

The cocktail list offers up a range of refreshing and new twists to old familiar offerings, and a wine list that is sure to impress without breaking the bank.

The cocktails we tried were off the hook delish, and the Charleston is definitely worth visiting even if its for the cocktails.

My Fave Bit

So many fave Bits from the interior and decor which is somehow delightfully calming and on trend yet still welcoming , and the Beef short rib which literally melts in your mouth and packs are punch and the relish cocktails.
