The Beach House Avalon a Refreshing Change

The iconic Avalon Beach dining hot spot has had a rather refreshing relaunch, with a fresh new approach and casual, friendly bar vibe, BEACH HOUSE Avalon (formerly Avalon on the Beach), has reopened its doors for lunch, drinks and dinner 7 days a week, and breakfast on weekends.

The new-look restaurant will feature tropical interiors, fun cocktails, craft beers, organic wines and a menu that celebrates Hawaiian Japanese beach flavours. Upstairs is the bar and dining room while downstairs the licensed Beach Hut kiosk serves coffee and breakfast from 7am and beachside lunch classics from 11am.

Manager, Alisha Yee, brings her passion for hospitality to Avalon following extensive experience at Chiswick, Mr Wong, North Bondi Fish & Centennial Homestead. Local chef, Nacho Hutardo, has created a menu that honours the best of local produce with a focus on local seafood.

Share good times with friends, colleagues and family overlooking one of Sydney’s most beautiful beaches – you might even see the dolphins and whales swim by! Upstairs you can enjoy a raft of delicious fare such as:

  • Catch of the Day Fish + Chips – tempura, panko crumb or grilled, lime mayo, cabbage slaw ($23)
  • Buddha Poke Bowl – Avocado, brown rice, edamame, red cabbage, sugar snaps, ginger tamarin dressing V, GF $15 with grilled chicken or marinated raw salmon ($25)
  • Raw Salmon – wasabi crème fraiche, ginger, toast, soy & mirin dressing ($18)
  • Grilled Watermelon + Tiger Prawn – pickled daikon, ponzu dressing ($16)

Seafood Basket – prawns, squid, fish, potato scallop, thick chips, tartare sauce ($25).

Little ones are well catered for as well, with a $9 kids’ menu that covers all their favourites.

Happy hour is every day from 4-6pm featuring $5 drinks.
