Ted’s Launches Innovative New Store in Sydney

Anyone who has had to shop for Camera’s would know or would have heard of Ted’s World of Imaging , synonymous with great products and knowledge Ted’s is a brand that has stood the test of time. This new game-changing concept store will be a vibrant hub of learning, education and collaboration, with an ever-changing calendar of events, workshops, one-on-ones and immersive experiences for customers of all ages to enjoy.

An exclusive event on Thursday the 18th of October kicked off the festivities, followed by a weekend of celebrations which will included immersive activations from the world’s six leading camera brands Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic, Fuji and Olympus. There were  events open to the general public and free to join from 19-21 October, with appearances from industry representatives, brand ambassadors and social influencers.

This amazing new concept store is a partnership between Ted’s Cameras and the world’s leading photographic brands – Ted’s World of Imaging will bring together a retail experience centre, gallery, workshop space, education centre and photography studio.

Nic Peasley, CEO of Ted’s Cameras, said the business was yet again changing the face of camera retail. “After almost 50 years of being at the forefront of this industry, Ted’s is staying young by rejuvenating its operations and changing what it means to be a photographic retailer.

“We’re going to deliver an entirely new way of experiencing photography, where anyone interested in the image in all its forms can visit us and be inspired to learn and create. This is the biggest investment ever made in one store by an Australian photo retailer.”

The collaborative centre is designed to fully “immerse” visitors in a world of imaging where they’ll feel encouraged to wander, touch, talk, try, experience and explore for hours on end.

“It will be a true game changer not only for Ted’s Cameras but also for the photographic industry in Australia.”

“Digital cameras and accessories are products that many customers still want to touch and try before they buy. Our new centre will assist these customers – whether professional, student or beginner – on their product purchase journey and help to nurture a life-long relationship with photography,” said Peasley.

To further enhance the offering for consumers, Teds World of Imaging has announced a creative learning partnership with the Australian Centre for Photography (ACP). The ACP has developed a series of inspiring workshops that will be presented in the Education Centre at Ted’s World of Imaging.

“Ted’s World of Imaging is pleased to welcome the ACP to be part of this destination retail centre.  Inspired by a shared passion for photography, this partnership maximises the opportunities to provide photographic education to members of the public,” added Peasley.
