On June the 1st, TAG Heuer, Official Watch and the Official Timekeeper of the Caltex Socceroos, invited football fans to take on the ‘Don’t Crack under Pressure Football Challenge’ in the heart of Sydney.
Under the watchful eye of Caltex Socceroos players, Mat Ryan, Tom Rogic, Trent Sainsbury and Mark Birighitti, challengers were tested on the speed and accuracy of their goal kick, in a purpose built structure.
Kids from Sydney’s Junior Football clubs, Abbotsford Juniors FC and Rockdale City Suns FC, braved the elements in wind and rain and proved they did not crack under pressure as they battled out the speed & accuracy challenge that saw Rockdale secure the win in front of their idols.
Joined by MC, Network Seven’s Sport Presenter Mark Beretta, the four world-class football players met with delighted fans and signed keep sake photographs and posters.
The Don’t Crack under Pressure Speed & Accuracy Challenge follows the recent announcement of a milestone four year partnership between TAG Heuer and the Caltex Socceroos and celebrates TAG Heuer’s dominance in timekeeping for major football leagues across the globe.
The partnership sees TAG Heuer presence at Socceroo’s matches, on-field signage for home games, TAG Heuer watches included in the official Socceroos off field team uniform and the sponsorship of the Fox Sports broadcast for Caltex Socceroos matches.
The Socceroos’ thirst for success honours the very spirit of TAG Heuer’s motto
