Describe what you do?  I snowboard for a living. I compete in Snowboardcross, an event where 6 guys all race down a track of jumps, rollers and banks. I compete on the World Tour and love what I do.

Why fitness? For performance and happiness. I train to improve my performance and prevent injury when doing my sport, but I also love it.

Who or what inspires you?  I’m inspired by the challenge to be the best in my sport year after year. This challenge evolves and is ever changing, which is why I love it so much. People I looked up to when I was a kid were people like Pat Rafter. Nowadays, I draw a lot from people like Mick Fanning and Kelly Slater as I also love surfing and those guys really are incredible.

Three words that describe you?  Happy, happy and happy

What’s your dream project? Something I’ve worked on aside from my own career in the past six or so years is really trying to help the future generations in our sport. This year, with the support of Red Bull I was able to make a dream a reality with a project called ‘Chumpy’s Boarding House’. I selected eight up and coming SBX athletes and for four days, we lived in house together at Mt Hotham. During the time, I gave them as much input into all areas of their careers now, as well as some tips to prepare for the future also. It was an amazing experience and I feel that there are some great riders coming through in the sport here in Australia to keep an eye out for.

What advice would you give to someone who’s looking to start their fitness & health journey? I love training outdoors when I can. Gyms are great, but there’s no better feeling to get up early for a run or surf and score an amazing sunrise as well. Helps me to never want to miss a day of training.

Name 3 things you can’t live without?  The mountains, the ocean and Red Bull.

A Little Something – please feel free to put in this section any products or promotions you might have, and or anything you want promoted.

Thank you to Red Bull for transforming this dream of mine, mentoring and supporting the younger generations in Boardercross, into a reality.

Huge cheers to the team that made ‘Chumpy’s Boarding House’ come together.
