SIROCCO, Potts Point’s Latest Open Air Venue

The Holiday Inn in Potts Point is a local most visitors to the area would be familiar with, but apart from the fact that its one of the only hotels in the Kings Cross Potts point area most visitors wouldn’t know too much about it. Thats all changing with the launch of Sirocco its new open-air garden terrace, and relaxed neighbourhood locale.

Designed as a leafy garden terrace with its tall green vertical gardens that enclose the space, festoon lights, open-air ambience, and white-washed timber furniture specially designed for the space, Sirocco Terrace has been transformed into a welcoming reprieve from the surrounding hustle of inner city living.

Opening just in time for the Australia Day long weekend, Sirocco Terrace is attached to Sirocco Restaurant & Bar on the ground floor of Holiday Inn Potts Point. It will be a private sanctuary for that casual drink after work with colleagues and friends, the weekend brunch spot, a tasty bite to eat for lunch or dinner, or as an exclusive space that can be booked for parties and gatherings.

Diners will be able to order straight from the Sirocco Restaurant menu, from your Sunday brunch favourites to the popular build-your-own burgers, share-style platters, signature grill options, light snacks and healthy salad selections.

New menu items will surprise with the use of fresh seasonal ingredients, including the Rooftop-Honey Panacotta crafted from the hotel’s very own rooftop bee hives.

The bar menu offers a range of beer, wine, spirit and cocktail selections. Sirocco Terrace will fill the void as a sophisticated beer garden in the neighbourhood catering to all ages – families on weekends, singles and couples, and as a handy meeting spot later in the afternoon and early evening before a night on the town.

Brenden van Blerk, General Manager – Holiday Inn Potts Point, said “Potts Point is renowned for its innovative Sydney dining with chic cafes and wine bars, elegant restaurants and nightspots, and a village culture of both locals and tourists alike. We wanted to expand on this offering and the area’s distinct neighbourhood feel by providing a venue that is a friendly welcome meeting spot open to all – a casual space for a drink, bite to eat, and those wanting to benefit from a relaxed open-air sanctuary in the heart of the busy city.”

“We want Sirocco Terrance to be the neighbourhood meeting place in Potts Point for guests to Sydney, our friendly locals and families and an all-round accessible venue with a friendly attitude, and chic inner-city vibe,” said Brenden.

Sirocco Terrace will be open 7 days a week, from breakfast through to dinner.
