Following the success of the PS Paul Smith launch at Pitti Uomo in January 2017, Paul Smith returns to Florence to debut his new spring/ summer ‘18 PS Paul Smith collection in the Fortezza da Basso.
The new spring/summer ’18 PS Paul Smith collection has roots in 1970s Japanese counterculture, touching on surfing, music sub-cultures and the Japanese interpretation of American military clothing.
Across the collection, blue is the dominant colour, offered in a range of complementary shades then punctuated with bright contrast colours and expressive prints.
The new PS Paul Smith octopus is the mascot of the collection, appearing in a variety of prints and applications across clothes, shoes and accessories. A giant version of the octopus will also greet visitors to the PS Paul Smith stand at Pitti.
Boasting all the Paul Smith hallmarks of print, colour and humor, the new collection will be represented at Pitti by 25 looks encompassing product groups including: denim, outerwear, knitwear, print, and nally, various applications of the PS Paul Smith octopus.
The styling will focus on clashing patterns and confident layering, making use of a full complement of PS Paul Smith accessories including key chains, colourful socks and casual hats. A new oversized mailbag is also a bold new style for this season.
