Get UNYOKED with Wild Turkey

One of our faves Wild Turkey has  just launched the Spirit of the Wild – an epic masterclass series that encourages Australians to unplug, get off the couch and reconnect with the outdoors, umm yes please.

Crafted by Wild Turkey, in collaboration with Chris and Cam Grant the founders of Unyoked (an off-grid cabin movement) and sustainable chef Darren Robertson (Three Blue Ducks and Rocker),Spirit of the Wild invites Australians to enjoy and appreciate an evening of real food, real craft and the real outdoors.

Spirit of the Wild will come to life via a series of on-premise events across the country starting in Sydney on 15 August at the Terminus Hotel in Pyrmont. Guests will learn about real food, stripped back to the essentials in a BBQ smoking workshop, as well as making cocktails with native and foraged ingredients, all inspired by Darren Robertson.

Famed for foraging and sourcing ethical ingredients, Darren Robertson said, “I’ve long been a champion for real food, and locally sourced ingredients that don’t compromise on flavour. It’s great to team up with Wild Turkey to inspire more people to experience, learn about, and enjoy real food.

Helping Aussies experience the ultimate antidote to modern life, attendees will also hear from Unyoked and how they’re pioneering the trend to make the wilderness accessible.

For those wanting to disconnect entirely from the distractions of the city, 20 tickets are available for an exclusive one-night-only camping event to be held in Glenworth Valley on 21 September. Hosted by Wild Turkey, Unyoked and Darren Robertson – guests will enjoy real food with a menu curated by Darren Robertson served alongside specially curated drinks.

Cam and Chris Grant, founders of Unyoked say, “These days we often mistake living for having a life. We created Unyoked as a remedy for that. We used to appreciate the benefits of the wilderness and disconnecting from our busy lives but being connected 24/7 has led most of us to forget that. We’re excited to be partnering with Wild Turkey to help folks remember to unplug.”

Nicole Stanners, Wild Turkey Marketing Director says, “Spirit of the Wild captures the Wild Turkey spirit of keeping it real, by immersing guests in the wilderness. An experience that lets them get their hands dirty, enjoy real food and get back into the outdoors.
