Country Road is working with Red Cross to continue its commitment to helping Australian families in need, & launched its annual Donate to Win campaign on the 7th of July
The lifestyle brand shares a common value for family wellbeing with Red Cross, which operates over 30 different support programs for children and families nationwide. With over 105,000 people in Australia currently homeless, and 10% of the population unable to afford to feed their families, Country Road is calling on its customers to get thrifty for a good cause.
The Donate to Win campaign, which runs from 7 – 20 July, is part of the iconic retailer’s ongoing Fashion Trade initiative, aiming to educate customers on one of the easiest ways they can support Red Cross’s work – by visiting their local Red Cross shop.
Customers who donate their pre-loved Country Road clothing, accessories, homewares and children’s wear during the campaign will go into the draw to win one of five $500 Country Road gift card, with the results drawn on 24 July. The more Country Road pieces they donate, the greater their chance to win.
In addition to the draw, customers will also be rewarded with a $10 Fashion Trade voucher for every Country Road item they donate to a Red Cross shop during the promotion, which can be redeemed against their next purchase of $50 or more at Country Road.
What’s more, the call to clear out your shelves is only half the appeal, with the thrill of thrift shopping an added perk with two-fold benefit, not only giving back further to Red Cross but also a worthy excuse to shop.
2014 saw 1700 donations made in the initiative’s name. This year Country Road and Red Cross are hoping the target of 2000 items donated is hit.
