I had the pleasure recently of experiencing the beautiful new Japanese restaurant YAYOI, the restaurant is beautifully set out and immediately sets you at ease. To give us an experience we went with the beautiful degustation menu which is made up of 11 courses, and priced at $80 its a price worth paying and as a bonus for an extra $20 you can add matching wines or sake. To say our experience was outstanding would be an understatement, the food was beautiful and delightfully refreshing, the sake was amazing and the service was impeccable, here are some pictures from my experience on the night…
The flavours are subtle but pack a punch, with each dish setting your palette up for the next, the matching sake’s we had cleansed the palette before each new course was set in front of us. Each new course was a feast for the eyes as well as the palette, introducing new flavours mixed in with recognisable flavours but constantly delighting.
