Commemorating our brave veterans, betting on the flipping of two coins and drinking cold beers… all the things Australians associate with an annual tradition: ANZAC Day. On Monday 25th April, toast our diggers at one of Sydney’s oldest and famous pubs, Woollahra’s The Light Brigade.
Following tradition, the historic art deco pub will be transformed into a lively, 2UP arena from 11am, one of the few destinations hosting this one-day-only game of chance and luck!
The recently renovated kitchen will be back in full force, showcasing a first-look into the fresh menu, so leave your bangers and bergoo at home and opt for an authentic, wood-fired pizza or a token Aussie $4 VB Schooner from 10am – 12pm.
“A heritage pub, such as The Light Brigade, feels like the ideal spot to show our respects to our Australian soldiers. And for our patrons who work up an appetite spinning and winning during 2UP, they can taste our brand new menu, with plenty of Aussie pub classics, such as the steak sandwich, beef burger and parmie”, says Kaine Bayfield, Group General Manager of Bayfield Hotels.
Embrace your larrikin spirit and cheer on your favourite AFL or NRL teams as they go head-to-head live across all HD screens, including the huge 103-inch plasma the pub is known for!
2UP is an ANZAC Day tradition and ANZAC Day at The Light Brigade is a long-standing institution. Doors will especially open from 10am, so show up early to avoid lining up down the street!
