There’s a glimmer of hope for what I once considered a dead zone at the Intersection of Wentworth St, Liverpool St and Oxford St, with the opening of the Sensational Song Kitchen there’s hope for locals and visitors alike.
Song Kitchen serves Mediterranean inspired bistro classics that are simple, authentic and delicious.
The lunch and dinner menu, which changes with the seasons, might include entrees such as Sydney rock oysters, a charcuterie plate with house-made pickles, duck croquettes, and pork terrine with apricot, pistachio and char-grilled bread.
Pasta is made in-house daily and main dishes include bistro favourites such as duck breast with sautéed potatoes and mushrooms, Scotch fillet with shoestring fries and crispy-skinned salmon with beetroot.
Compliment your meal with a bottle from Song Kitchen’s carefully
curated (and well priced) wine list which focuses on boutique artisanal producers, alternative grape varieties, NSW labels and female winemakers.
Song Kitchen is the perfect spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family, and most dishes are perfect for sharing.
You can also pop in for breakfast daily and an excellent Gabriel coffee, or enjoy post-work drinks and snacks in the bar (and Happy Hour Tuesday to Friday).
One of the best things about eating at Song Kitchen is that all profits go towards important programs against domestic violence run by YWCA NSW.
So next time you’re thinking about having dinner in the city pop in to Song Kitchen and Dine to Make a Difference…
