It’s World Tequila Day this Sunday 24 July and to celebrate Saké Restaurant & Bar have created a number of signature cocktails especially for the day with premium Sesión Tequila that will be available across all five of their restaurants in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane.
The special cocktails offer a real Japanese twist on a classic tequila cocktail and an example of the growing popularity of spirit and how it can be enjoyed with cuisines other than Mexican. I thought you might be interested in running some recipes online for those who might like to try their hand at making the cocktails at home. Please see recipes for the Naw Samurai and Nichiren 1275 below and image attached and please do let me know if you need anything further.
Sesión is the passion project by Jennifer Hawkins and Jake Wall that launched back in December 2015 and has since won much acclaim, with all three flavours of tequila (reposado, blanco and mocha) taking away medals from the 2016 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, the largest and most prestigious spirit awards in the world.
