Traditional herbal tea is getting a shake up with the debut of gourmet flavours including Blood Orange and Strawberry & Rhubarb this spring from natural tea specialists, Red Seal.
Red Seal have introduced a real fruit tea range that can be enjoyed hot or cold; perfect to flavour your water bottle, ideal as an iced tea cooler on a hot afternoon, and delicious as a hot infusion at any time.
The hot and cold brew tea range comes in six delectable all-natural flavours: Lemon and Ginger, Apple and Elderflower, Blood Orange, Strawberry and Rhubarb, Peach and Pineapple and Exotic Fruits.
Containing no sugar or artificial additives, the range will brighten up any occasion and caters to all dietary requirements, including gluten free. Simply pop a tea bag into a glass, add water, dress up with your favourite fruits and herbs, add ice and you’ll have a summer stunner to impress even the fussiest of palates.
My Kitchen Rules winners and lovers of a ‘cuppa’, Will and Steve, showcased the versatility of the tea by creating a bespoke dish and mocktail recipe using the range of unique flavours.
The Gourmet Pommies developed a beautiful strawberry and rhubarb mocktail using real poached fruit to accompany an apple and elderflower smoked trout. “As Brits we’re great fans of a cup of tea in the afternoon but as chefs we love twists on traditions. With such unique flavours, these teas bring out the best of our nostalgic and experimental sides,” said Will.
“The fruit flavour gives Aussies the opportunity to experiment with drinks and dishes in a way that avoids sugar and other unhealthy substances that we like to avoid to keep trim during summer,” added Steve.
The award-winning Firefli mixologists have also made a range of cocktail recipes including a Lemon & Ginger Zinger and Exotic Explosion, perfect to enjoy at a dinner party as a summer aperitif.
Marketing Manager for Red Seal, Sue Millinchip said it was great to be able to offer an exciting new drink coming into summer. “We know there are a lot of people who find it a challenge to drink enough water, especially in summer. Our hot and cold fruit teas certainly take care of any boring drink blues,” she said.
“We’re also very proud that our new range is completely in keeping with our legacy of bringing natural, healthy products to Aussies. So many beverage options, including fruit teas, often include harmful additives, sugar and artificial colourings. Our new hot and cold tea range tastes delicious all thanks to Mother Nature – and our wonderful tea innovators,” she added.
The range of Red Seal Hot or Cold Brew teas will be priced at $5.49 available from Chemist Warehouse, leading retailers and health food stores soon to be announced nationwide.
