As always the edgy and Uber cool QT set the standard recently when they hosted an evening to celebrate the launch of NOVEMBER, with the timeless art of barber shop grooming and performances by the senior state champion Barber Shop quartet ‘Highjacked’ which set an appropriate backdrop to a Chivas Regal-infused toast to launch their Movember fundraising initiatives and a new partnership with fellow Australian charity – Beard Season.
Beard Season, a movement turning beards into life, saving icons in the fight against melanoma, challenges those most at risk (men aged 18-45) to book a skin-check with their skin specialist or dermatologist. To spread the word, the QT Barbershops will stock a limited run of Beard Season Playing Cards. These deluxe playing cards (codenamed #Project60) are the brainchild of iconic photograph Mr Elbank and feature some of the greatest beards in the world. A must for any aficionado of style with substance.
On his hirsute for health, Beard Season founder Jimmy Niggles Esq. and the QT Sydney maestro barbers were joined by notable media and some of the town’s most charismatic journeymen and women to celebrate the pursuit of gentlemanly perfection – from impeccable style to excellent health, immaculate grooming and fine Scottish Whisky courtesy Chivas Regal Live with Chivalry.
Robert J Carroll of Strand Hatters showcased the latest trends in headwear, an appropriate message in the presence of skin-check campaigner Jimmy Niggles from Beard Season whilst Chivas Regal’s passionate Ambassador Ben Davidson hosted tastings of their premium 12 year old, Extra and 18 year old whiskies and a carefully crafted signature Chivas Collins cocktail.
All toasts aside, the hero of the night was launch of the QT Sydney’s Movember packages which include:
- QT Shave –Tidy-Shave package. Valued at $120, the package costs $100 with $25 donated to Movember
- QT Sydney will donate $10 from all other shave services undertaken during the month to Movember ensuring guests who may not be ‘Mo-ing’ can still shave for the cause.
- This is Beard Season #Project60 playing cards will be sold for $45 with full proceeds to the Beard Season Charity.
- QT Sydney will donate $4 from every Parlour Lane MO’hito and all gold coin stick-on moustache proceeds to Movember.
