Describe what you do:
I opened a gym in Narre Warren 7 years ago which I work out of seven days a week. I run MMA, Muay Thai and Boxing classes in the evening and do a lot of one-on-one training during the day. I love what I do, so I don’t take any days off. I ‘work’ 365 days a year.
Why fitness:
I’m a firm believer that if your health isn’t intact, everything else will fall apart. My health is my number one priority at all times. I am very good to my body and have never put an illicit substance in it, recreational or performance enhancing.
Who or what inspires you:
I work hard to make my parents proud. I wouldn’t do anything that they’d frown upon. When I have kids, I want to be a worthy role model for them. I have many idols that I aspire to be like, mostly fighters such as Masato, Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez, Conor McGregor, Gennady Golovkin, etc.
Three words that describe you:
-Winner
-Industrious
-Resilient
What’s your dream project?:
Regardless of my financial situation, I will always be training others as it’s a huge passion of mine. I get a lot of emotional reward out of training fighters especially. But, whilst I’m in my athletic prime I’d like to have a few more MMA fights and secure the Australian bench press record at the 95kg male division.
What advice would you give to someone who’s looking to start their fitness & health journey?:
Set distinct goals and be realistic about the time it may take to reach these goals. Know that your hard work and consistency will always pay off, but it will take time.
Name 3 things you can’t live without:
-My gym, XFC
-My team, XFC
-My family, XFC
