I had the pleasure last week of attending the media launch of Pressman’s cider launch, this amazing cider has gone back to the roots of cider making where the cider was pressed directly from fresh fruit and isclean, crisp and fruit driven cider perfect in either the full strength or my favourite the mid-strength…
Pressman’s all-Australian apple cider has re-launched with a fresh new look and brew, and an additional new mid-strength variant – the first cider of its kind to be available in Australia. Now made using only 100% Australian apples from the Goulburn Valley, Pressman’s Original and Mid-Strength Cider captures the natural flavours of Australian apples in every bottle. The cider delivers an ‘orchard in a glass’ experience for drinkers looking for a dry, crisp apple cider. The Pressman’s new look and feel captures the essence of the all-Australian cider, paying tribute to the original Australian cider “Pressmen”- the strong, hardworking and uncompromising men who lived to make ‘proper cider’, the ‘proper way’.
The new Pressman’s brew has been made in collaboration with SPC, Australia’s largest producer of premium fruit, and uses only the highest quality apples from Australian orchards. Pressman’s is made in Yenda, NSW, and bottled at the new Australian Beer Company (ABCo) brewery – a joint venture partnership between Coca-Cola Amatil and Casella.
The Australian Beer Company has a growing range of premium beer and cider brands and has exciting plans to launch its flagship craft beer range later this year. Commenting on Pressman’s return to the market, Derek O’Donnell, General Manager at ABCo, says: “We’re really excited to be launching Pressman’s Cider into the wider market with a new brew and the first all-Australian, mid-strength cider offering available to Australians.
“We hope that the new mid-strength variant, in particular, will appeal to drinkers looking for a lower strength alternative to fit with their lifestyles.”
