Australian men’s grooming brand, Uppercut Deluxe is thrilled to announce its latest collaboration with its southern Californian based crew of creatives.
The USA contingents of the Uppercut Deluxe family, otherwise known as the SoCal ambassadors are heroes of their trade, each bringing a signature style to the Uppercut Deluxe brand. Together, this group of guys embody Uppercut Deluxe’s modern, yet traditional approach to grooming.
The series of images and short video gives a raw look into a day in the life of those who ‘groom and zoom’. The SoCal ambassadors including head barber at Eagle & Pig barbershop, Dane Hesse; skate and tattoo icon, Eric Dressen; pro-surfer and surf wear designer, JJ Wessels; and motorcycle brotherhood the Cycle Zombies, show off their talents as they chop, style, surf, skate and cruise their way through Southern Cali.
Uppercut Deluxe Marketing Manager, Tom Woodward, says they had no real plan for how the day of filming would turn out:
“We just wanted all the guys together in one place and to try and capture them doing what they do best. If there has ever been a clip that captures what Uppercut Deluxe is all about more than this one, we’re yet to see it,” said Woodward.
Partnering with the SoCal ambassadors comes as a natural fit for Uppercut Deluxe.
“Like our brand which was formed from grass roots origins, each of our ambassadors started their own unique businesses from humble beginnings and have been true to themselves and what they love ever since. We feel this is something worth celebrating,” continued Woodward.
Meet the SoCal ambassadors –
Head barber of Eagle & Pig barbershop located in Costa Mesa, Dane Hesse is renowned for his barbering skills and is a trendsetter within the grooming landscape.
Fellow Cali local Eric Dressen knows a thing or two about the skateboard. First sponsored at the age of ten, he’s a worldwide skate and tattoo icon who has a timeless influence on the skating industry and uses his original and unique style across his career as a tattoo artist.
JJ Wessels is as skilled in the water as he is on land. When he’s not riding waves, he’s designing pro-surf wear that has his unique style written all over it.
Taylor, Big Scott, Chase, Turk and Scotty are all part of the legendary Stopnik family that make up the Cycle Zombies. What started with an appreciation and passion for building custom choppers, these guys now have a global audience, giving fans an insight into their world through their global blog ‘Cycle Zombies California’.
The Uppercut Deluxe range of men’s grooming essentials includes its signature styling products – Pomade, Matt Clay, Featherweight and Monster Hold, available across Australia, US and the UK. For more information visit: www.uppercutdeluxe.com
