If there’s one thing you want to add to your calendar for the next couple;e of months then its the The Imperial Hotel Sydney’s launch of Sydney’s first weekend food truck festival this weekend, 30 April 2016. The festival, which exhibits an ongoing weekly calendar of the state’s best food trucks, will introduce a strong food offering at the iconic Erskineville venue which has never had its own food concept.
The Weekend Truck Me Festival, which takes place every Saturday and Sunday from 4pm – 8pm, will offer patrons a different taste each time. The trucks, which will be parked directly outside The Imperial Hotel Sydney on Union Street, will cater to the crowds welcomed inside The Imperial Hotel for an afternoon of eating, drinking and entertainment.
Billy McMaugh, General Manager of The Imperial Hotel Sydney comments,
‘…The Imperial Hotel Sydney has primarily been a space for performance, drinking and late night dancing – and we wish to expand this offer. We will always showcase these concepts, however, part of what we aim to achieve with our development plans is to introduce a strong food offering to the venue and in the interim we thought, why wait?”
The Weekend Truck Me Festival will launch with Madmen Burgers on Saturday 30 and Big Daddy’s Food Truck on Sunday 1 May. Performance and atmosphere being a big part of any festival, guests can sing along to acoustic covers of well known camp anthems – think Whitney, Britney, Madonna, Kylie and Cher.
Embracing the culinary hub that has been established in Erskineville and Newtown, The Imperial Hotel Sydney will work with the community to bring flavours and cuisines they enjoy to their doorstep.
See you in line and remember spread the word…
