Bondi Rescue HQ smoothie and juice bar has officially opened its doors–just as the weather’s heating up and the days are getting longer!
With hit TV show Bondi Rescue being aired in 180 countries around the world, it’s no surprise Head Bondi Lifeguard, Bruce “Hoppo” Hopkins has jumped at the chance to expand the brand with Bondi Rescue HQ. This unique new addition to the sea of cafes that border North Bondi’s sidewalks, not only offers a nutritionist formulated menu using all natural ingredients and super foods for targeted health, but gives fans of Bondi Rescue a chance to meet the stars, with Hoppo, Maxi, Reidy and Harries regularly visiting Bondi Rescue HQ.
As one of Bondi’s most recognised faces, Hoppo’s aim is to offer healthier options that help re-fuel the body with light, tasty, healthy meals, during a day out in the sun and surf:
“I’ve been rescuing people for over 23 years now, educating the community on surf safety and living a healthy lifestyle, and the same philosophies apply here at Bondi Rescue HQ. I want to help people, particularly children, in considering healthier options when grabbing a drink or bite at the beach.”
With a completely nutritionist-driven menu that gives the concept of juicing a culinary edge, Hoppo brings a holistic approach to the juice industry offering a “build your own” juice bar as well nutritional “health kits” that include a variety of the protein bars and teas as well as ingredients that are used to make the juices, such as nuts, vegetables and fruits.
Customised, juice-based cleanses, which are said to remove food allergens and restore vital minerals that help heal, hydrate, energise and refuel the body (exactly what you need after a day in the sun!) means all beach-goers can enjoy a satisfying refreshment. For the gym junky there’s the “Muscle Up” smoothie with coconut water, blueberries and added protein, and for the party animal there’s the “Morning After” juice with spinach, parsley, green apple, kiwi and cucumber, which helps repair the stomach, improve energy and eliminate any harmful leftover substances in the body.
What’s more, Bondi Rescue HQ has signed up to be a vendor on Beat the Q, a free app allowing customers to order and pay for their drink/meal en-route to their regular café. Bondi Beach-goers can now order from the beach or a grassy knoll nearby and enjoy their fresh juice with convenience and ease – what more could you ask for on a hot day out in Bondi?!
