Music is life and despite being the Editor of a busy Lifestyle site like Rogue Homme it’s still a huge part of my life still, so when I was invited to meet the Winners of Toyota’s worldwide busking competition #FeelingTheStreet and hear them perform I was chuffed.
So what is Feeling The Street? Don’t worry I asked the same thing as well, basically it’s an online competition celebrating street musicians from all over the world. It is such an awesome idea that started last year in 2015, right now around the globe there seems to be a lot of division but the fact that a brand like TOYOTA is using music to bring people together is bloody brilliant.
The competition has helped to put the spotlight on unknown street performers. It wasn’t up to TOYOTA to decide the winners – the public got to vote for their favourites with a simple ‘like’. The competition was then whittled down to the Top 40, and then the voters named their ultimate band line-up. Finally the six winners got to go on tour along with six lucky voters, and it’s these talented amazing musicians that I had the pleasure of watching perform and share their passions with me.
