Come Celebrate The Strand’s 16th annual “Evening With Our Designers”

Hosted over three floors inside the historical Arcade, VIP shoppers will have the opportunity to meet and greet some of Australia’s most prestigious designers while enjoying live music, a sumptuous variety of drinks and canapés, and exclusive discounts, including gifts with purchases on the night – all in an evening paying tribute to the rich history of craftsmanship that defines the Strand Arcade.

The event will bring together some of Australia’s biggest and most respected names in fashion and design, including Dion Lee, Camilla Freeman-Topper and Marc Freeman of Camilla & Marc, Designer Deborah Sams of Bassike, Lisa Dempsey of Jac + Jack, and effortlessly stylish Edwina Robinson of Aje.

The evening will also play host to design duo Alexandra and Genevieve Smart of Ginger & Smart, sisters Cheryl, Vanessa and Gabrielle Manning of Manning Cartell, and resin artisan Louise Olsen and of Dinosaur Designs.

Upon arrival, guests will be welcomed by an Instagram-worthy native floral display, as an overture to the evening’s array of sensory refinement and bespoke consumer experience. Also on offer on the ground floor, Italian brasserie style café Romolo will be serving up Aperol Spritzes and antipasto tables offering refreshments over the course of the evening.

The journey continues on the upper levels of the Arcade, where guests are able to enjoy champagne poured at the Veuve Clicquot bar and a showcase of live music from emerging Australian musicians, including the captivating vocals of Maysa Latukefu and the haunting blues guitar of Wesley Hutchinson, performing on the scenic air bridge.

To further touch on the subtle and the sensory, the event will host the unveiling of a bespoke Strand scent, with Scentsmith Ainslie Walker in residence to talk through the nuances of the aroma, the process and influence behind its creation, and to give away exclusive vials of the scent to attendees whist advising of this year’s exciting competition.

Guests who spend $500 or more will have a chance to win a bespoke perfume making workshop The Invisible Accessory Project held by Walker. Along with selected friends, the winner will create their own signature scent, with the workshop followed by a curated menu from Pendolino (a prize valued at over $3,500).

The evening is a rare opportunity for guests to meet with the inspirational artisans, artists and owners of their favourite Strand Arcade brands and boutiques, in a unique – and singular – location.
