The much anticipated and welcome addition to the Australian Technology Park, Charlotte’s Little Sister is now officially open, located on Central Avenue, Eveleigh.
Designed by the team from Guru Projects and styled by India Harris, the 160 seat Café & Bar is an urban hub right in the center of The Australian Technology Park. No expense was spared in the interior fit out, from the unique custom made mosaic tile flooring from Italy to the brass paneling and raw timber throughout. The one of a kind, La Marzocco Coffee Machine with handmade steamer arms, metal badges, cronos touch pads and personalized logo, which was won at auction to raise funds for Fareshare and Café Smart, organized by Tom Beaumont from La Marzocco, Australia.
Charlotte’s Little Sister, Australian Technology Park, has been a long time coming for founder and coffee connoisseur, Jason Ghebar, who has grown the Charlotte brand from a humble local Café to a well known and loved brand with six smaller Charlotte’s throughout Sydney.
“Charlotte’s Little Sister, ATP will be the first bit of community this area has seen, dedicated to superior service, great food, and exceptional coffee. The support and response we have received since conception is overwhelming, and we hope to create a social hub for those working and hanging out in the area. We understand that a break is necessary during a busy working day, and there is no better way to catch up with friends or colleagues than over good food and coffee.”
Director of Campos Coffee, Rafael Bartowski has been witness to the growth of the brand over the past couple of years as a valued supplier to all Charlotte’s Cafes.
“What’s exciting about this venue is that it brings a breath of fresh air to such an iconic site as ATP! Soon to be a heaving Inner West destination for all those in the area, Jason, and his team has managed to combine great coffee and great food into a great space, living and breathing cafe where quality and consistency speaks for itself.”
The menu has been designed to showcase the hero rotisserie meats, cooked slow and served fast with a signature range of sauces, accompanied by freshly made salads and organic bread. Created by collaborative team Rob Clarson (ex-Sugar & Spoon and with ties to Gordon Ramsay) and Jimmy Mathers (ex Pavel & Co and Pony Dining).
For breakfast, designed to be eaten on the run or nestled on the leather banquets. Customers can satisfy their morning cravings by enjoying a perfectly crafted Campos Coffee. There is something for everyone on offer from, the fruit salad with paleo crunch and coconut yogurt (9) to the ultimate BBQ bacon and egg roll featuring thick-cut smoked bacon, two free range eggs, smokey BBQ sauce on a freshly baked roll (11)
Lunchtime is when the custom built rotisserie shines from the succulent meat and salad filled rolls to the perfectly constructed salad and plates with a choice of protein and brown rice. The fennel rubbed, 8 hours cooked grain fed pork belly with crispy crackling, South American slaw, brown rice, jus or salsa criolla (16.4), is everything you want it to be and more. Place that juicy rotisserie pork between two buns and top it with apple and Szechuan pepper puree, five spice BBQ sauce, carrot, red cabbage, red onion and parsley (13) and you have something even more decadent and satisfying.
There is also the signature ‘Charlotte’ favorites, paying homage to its routes and Mama Helen’s influence such as the house-made falafel roll with eggplant puree, cucumber yogurt, carrot, cos, lettuce, shallots and parsley (12) and the grass fed Za’atar Lamb shoulder roll (10). On the lighter but equally, as a delicious side there is the spiced cauliflower and eggplant salad with pickled currants, kale, coriander, mind, almonds and Mama’s tahini (9.9).
With big plans for the future including a full catering service, event space and the introduction of the bar menu which will feature a range of cocktails and a variety of boutique beers and wines by the glass, Charlotte’s Little Sister, ATP will be one to watch.
