Burger fiends rejoice Slurry Hills is now home to the awesome Brookly Depot, with something on the menu for everyone its no wonder its constantly packed with ravenous diners.
I took a friend along with me because one should never enjoy yummy burgers alone, and walking in at lunch we knew we’d be in for a treat judging from all the happy faces munching down on burgers and other yummy sides.
After much thought we ended up ordering the –
FUHGEDDABOUDIT!
Grass fed beef patty, beef chilli, Amercian cheese, onion rings, chilli relish, choice of lethal injection hot sauce* (Mild, Medium, Hot, or Fuhgeddaboudit) $15
THE DEPOT BURGER
Two grass fed beef patties, double American cheese, hickory smoked bacon, grilled pineapple, oak leaf lettuce, tomato, Depot special sauce $15
MAC ‘N’ CHEESE
Macaroni & 3 cheeses (gruyere, mozzarella, parmesan) baked in bechamel sauce topped with crispy bacon bits, garnished with spring onions *(Truffle flavour +3) $8
CHARRED CORN
Sweet & juicy blackened corn cobb grilled and rolled in chipotle mayo topped with parmesan $8
TWICE COOKED ONIONS RINGS
Served with a side of Depot special sauce $7
The Beef patties were medium rare and juicy, the buns had just enough thickness to soak up all the flavours and sauces, and lets not even get started on the sides. Those double cooked onion rings are enough for you to wanna smother it all over yourself, and no we didn’t do that hahaha. I didn’t get to try the Macaroni but judging from the empty dish and my friends satisfied face it was good, as for the corn oh dear me corn never tasted soo darn good!
Basically what i’m trying to say is get down to Brooklyn Depot and judge it for yourself, we definitely enjoyed what we got to try and the atmosphere in the is pretty damn good as well.
