Red Bull Australia’s Winter Athlete, Russ Henshaw ‘Slopestyle’ training in Colorado.
One of the most talented and creative freestyle skiers of his generation, Russ has risen to the top facing unexpected challenges. Russ badly tore his anterior cruciate ligament in 2011 and was told he would never walk again let alone ski.
This year, with the help of Red Bull’s high performance program, Russ was able to avoid knee reconstruction – and in one of the most inspiring comebacks in the sport, he spent just four weeks on the sidelines and returned to competition claiming a podium finish at the world championships. Russ is now one of only a small percentage of athletes from any sport, competing at the highest level, without an ACL.
Recently he won 1st place at the Toyota One Hit Wonder Big Air in Thredbo, NSW and last month, Russ took 3rd place at the Dew Tour event in Colorado.
Lets get behind Him he’s one talented man…
