There’s many a modern gentleman that is left at a loss for ideas on the perfect place to take a date, a lover, a partner or even a group of friends for a Saturday night dinner. I get many a distress sms or email from both friends and Rogue Homme readers, requesting suggestions, so this is the first of our posts which will cover everything from –
Food – where to dine, places that you can BYO, quirky spots etc.
Wine – what to take that BYO dining spot, affordable and expensive suggestions, how to impress without sounding like a snob.
Fashion – what’s a first date outfit? how to dress for your body type, what’s in fashion etc
As the questions come in we’ll attempt to add more sections to “It’s A Date”, and help you today’s modern gentleman stay abreast and ahead of the dating and love game.
Xage Vietnamese
Here’s the first of our posts and we’re talking Food, delicious mouth-watering impress your date food. Xage Vietnamese on Crown Street in Surry Hills has one of those unassuming facades, I’ve walked past it many a time but never dined there until last Saturday evening. As usual it was up to me to organise the restaurant, preferably somewhere BYO, so searching I went and eventually settled on Xage.
The food is light, spicy, aromatic and vibrant, the atmosphere is electric and dinner for two can both be cosy as well as exciting with the sound of diners enjoying themselves adding to the excitement. The staff are helpful and quick, and the food doesn’t take too long to get to your table after ordering. For menu and booking information hop online at www.xage.com.au, enjoy and keep sending us your questions and we’ll keep adding info to our “Its A Date” section.
