Food glorious food that’s what this weeks post of “It’s A Date” is all about, and we’re crossing the Harbour Bridge so get your passports ready and prime your taste buds for a foodie experience at Khao Pla.
Khao Pla is the brain-child of Chef Pla Rojratanavichai formerly of Spice I Am, Miss G’s and Mr Wong, the food is Thai with some modern twists to throw you off your game and spice up your day. We went on a Saturday evening and even though we had to wait for a table it was worth it, if you really want to impress your date it is BYO so grab a bottle of Pinot Gris which will go nicely with the delicious offerings at Khao Pla…
The Food
We tried the sashimi scallops, coconut curry fish baked in banana leaves, roti (flat bread), salt and pepper deep-fried tofu, char grilled ox tongue, crying tiger ( char grilled waygu sirloin ), and for dessert the black sticky rice with jasmine tapioca and coconut sorbet.
Every single one of the dishes was beautifully presented, and absolutely busting with flavour so my advice don’t wait cross the bridge…
