Every year when TASTE of Sydney Festival comes around I wait with bated breathe to see the list of Sydney restaurants & food providores/producers who will have stalls at the event. In between a hectic roster of gigs, events and shooting for my blog I popped in really quickly to TASTE and did a speed tasting of my favourite picks from their website.
Trepeza caught my eye straight away with the range of products they had on offer, since my weight loss when i do have treat day i like whatever it is i’m having to be amazing.
Truffle honey anyone?
I had a quick chat with Megan who co-owns Trepeza with her fiancee Izaac.
This is what Megan had to say – “We have been operating for 6 months now and Taste of sydney was a great way to get some brand awareness. If you check out our website at www.trepeza.comyou can see the range of products we have with info.
All the products are fine foods that are different to anything else on the market. We have a naturally sparkling water ORO from Macedonia that is the first in Australia to come out of the ground with bubbles in it. Its natural bubbles mean it has some great health benefits.
Other products also from Macedonia include a truffle honey that has medicinal values similar to a manuka honey & a relish that comes in 4 flavours called Pelagonia. It is great on toast with feta cheese, as a pizza base, marinade for meat or just as a dip! The pumpkin jam sold out at taste as a good substitute for a quince paste on a cheese platter.
Lastly we have some great local products like a wet chai tea infused with honey from melbourne & a local coffee called Delano’s.”
Judging from the line up of TASTE attendees waiting to sample the goodies on offer, this is only the beginning of their popularity.
With plans to add more delicious and unusual goodies to their line up, TREPEZA are definitely one to keep an eye on for any avid foodie. I know where I’ll be heading on my next treat day www.trepeza.com!
