What: NAVY proudly has the naming rights of the 2014-15 Australian Surf Rowers League Series for the seventh year.

              The final round of the Navy ASRL National Selection events comes to Elouera.

              This event will decide the Open Men and Open Women crews to take on the New Zealanders in a three race Test Match in New Zealand on                         Saturday 7 February 2015.

Divisions of surfboat racing being contested are Open Men and Open Women.

Who: Volunteer surf lifesavers who are also surf rowers competing in the Navy ASRL Series

                                    36 of the top crews from all over Australia will be invited into this National Selection event. Crews will be invited to participate off the back of their pre-qualifying from three rounds of National racing events

 

When: Sunday 21 December 2014

Point Score racing begins at 8am; finals at approx. 1pm

Where: Elouera Surf Lifesaving Club – Elouera

The NAVY National Selection Event will be fast and furious as crews strive to win the honour to represent their country. A race distance of 400 metres with wet starts and finishes will ensure tight racing with crews determined to start fast through the break to set themselves up for a good finish.

Great viewing will be available from the beach with ample parking close by.

The 2014-15 NAVY Australian Surf Rowers League Series consists of 30 events around Australia from October 2014 to February 2015 and are held on some of the country’s premier beaches.

The Australian Surf Rowers League was born in New South Wales in 1992 as the International League of Australian Surfboat Rowers Inc. (ILOR) and currently has over 3,000 members from over 260 clubs which make up over 550 crews.
