The Langham Sydney’s Iconic Afternoon Tea, Gets a Revamp

The Beautiful Langham Hotel one of Sydney’s most Iconic hotels, has revamped its ‘Afternoon Tea with Wedgewood’  this spring by elevating the occasion, and allowing all guests to Experience. Indulge. Celebrate.

The newly named ‘Afternoon Tea on Kent, with Wedgewood’ will take place in its new home within the hotel; the refurbished and recently opened restaurant, Kitchens on Kent.

Set in the beautiful Harbour Room, with plush velvet seating, peaceful surroundings and true The Langham, Sydney elegance; the new offering will be a must-do for anyone in the City who wants to relax, unwind or celebrate the everyday.

But there’s a twist. ‘Afternoon Tea on Kent with Wedgewood’ has now been enriched. Not only will devotees and lovers of Afternoon Tea delight in the show-stopping savoury morsels and deliciously warm, freshly baked scones at arm’s length, they’ll now have up to twenty-five different sweet delights to choose from.

Executive Pastry Chef, Prashanth Krishnan, says it allows guests to have a much more enriched experience.

“After opening our new restaurant Kitchens on Kent, we noticed that our Afternoon Tea guests were always intrigued about the desserts, puddings, ice-cream and pink chocolate fountain on our dessert station. With this in mind, we decided that there’s no reason why our Afternoon Tea lovers shouldn’t enjoy the full delights and choice of our sweet selection and encourage them to fully experience, indulge and celebrate in the unlimited delectable treats.”

Afternoon Tea on Kent launches with the ‘Spring Garden’ menu including the savoury items Sydney Rock Oyster Kilpatrick, Smoked Ricotta and Heirloom Tomato Tart, Bush Tucker, Compressed Watermelon, Smoked Kangaroo Finger Lime, Prawn Roll, Cucumber Lemon Cream Finger Sandwich, Ham & Dijon Mayonnaise Sandwich and Egg Finger Sandwiches.

No afternoon tea is complete without The Langham’s signature, freshly baked scones paired with clotted cream and homemade strawberry jam. These delectable treats are then followed with as many delights as one would like as you make your way to the dessert station, hosting a choice of  homemade pastries & tea cakes from Violet and Cassis Macarons, Raspberry and Lemon Cupcakes, Morello Cherry Cream Puffs, Milk Chocolate, Passion Fruit and Pistachio Mini Cones and Mandarin and Strawberry Pavlova.

Afternoon Tea on Kent with Wedgewood is available daily from 12pm to 3pm and starts from $70 per person.
