The Butler in Potts Point has been one of my favourite Sydney venue’s since its initial launch few years ago from the food & drink to the design and that amazing view I’ve loved it, but with a new head chef at the helm and a new Bar named after Kings Cross Media identity called Juanita they’ve really taken it to another level this time and its Banging.
JUANITA – The Bar
The entry into The Butler takes you into the newly revamped and renamed Bar Juanita, it’s Cool, Cosy and Kitsch all at the same time. Serving up some of Sydney’s best cocktails and a wine list that will thrill any foodie, it definitely has the Rogue Homme stamp as one of Sydney’s Best Bars…
The Restaurant -The Food
The Menu is as inviting and as delicious as ever, catering for most food preferences and designed for sharing amongst friends and loved ones.
To start we picked the Cured Salmon with green apple, habanero, onion & citrus and the Rock Oysters with pickled cucumber, lime & guajilo oil. It was fresh and delicious and each flavour well thought through, accompanied by a couple of refreshing cocktails we could have left then and there and felt satisfied.
For mains the Lamb Barbacoa is a must, let me say that again the Lamb is a must, its a melt in your mouth kinda dish and one that will warm you and leave you feeling nourished and loved. We picked the Cauliflower, flash fried, brown butter almonds, lime salt & homemade quest fresco and Baby Potatoes, cumin, Mexican oregano, crema to accompany our lamb and we devoured it with gusto.
From the Wine List we chose to try the NICODEMI Montepulciano from Italy and the TOMERO Malbec Mendoza from Argentina, the Wine List is a Wine Lovers dream each one picked to be drunk on its own or accompanied with food.
The Verdict
From the amazing elegantly designed interiors to the mouth watering Menu everything is put together with care, and add the stunning vista of the Sydney City Skyline and you’ve got an experience that is deliciously intoxicating.
