Sydneysiders will soon be given a lesson in ‘Belowskology’, with Pier One Presents: The Spoken Word with Stephen Belowsky, every Thursday and Friday evening in August, from 6:30pm – 8pm in The Gantry Bar.
The Western Australian based poet, originally from Manchester, is reinventing poetry as we know it, with a mixture of stand-up and controversy. From the lobby of the Standard Hotel in Hollywood to Sydney’s Opera House and now as Virgin Australia’s Pop Poet in Flight, Belowsky is rocking the airways with his multimedia spoken word.
From the written word to his unparalleled live performances, Belowsky’s prolific lyrical rants capture the excitement and chaos of modern consumerist culture, leaving his audiences mesmerised. Stevie has holistically merged the spoken word, music, graphics and lighting to transform Pier One into an innovative comedic destination.
So for night of laughs, some great food & cocktails and the best harbour view head down to Pier One Sydney.
