This is the second ‘costume to collection’ partnership between MR PORTER, Matthew Vaughn and award-wining costume designer Arianne Phillips following the successful creation and launch of Kingsman for the original 2015 film Kingsman: The Secret Service.  In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the clothing is as integral to the world of the characters as the cars and the gadgets.

Notably since launch, Kingsman has become one of MR PORTER’s top selling luxury brands. The partnership will allow customers and movie fans to own a piece of the Kingsman collection before it hits the screens.

From Costume to Collection 2.0 – The entire luxury menswear collection, which features throughout the film, will launch in September and include many of the original Kingsman categories and partner brands. Many of these pieces are core to the Kingsman collection that have been available on MR PORTER since the collection’s launch in January 2015. They are: Kingsman original tailoring; Turnbull & Asser shirting; Cutler & Gross eyewear; George Cleverley shoes; Drake’s ties and pocket squares; Mackintosh outerwear; Swaine Adeney Brigg umbrellas and leather accessories; Conway Stewart writing instruments; and Deakin & Francis cufflinks and small accessories.

Similarly, with the introduction of new characters and plots lines in Kingsman: The Golden Circle, MR PORTER will launch a new set of ‘costume to collection’ pieces and partner brands. They are: Adidas sneakers; Hunter boots; Stetson hats; Golden Bear varsity jackets; Jean Shop denim and western shirting; Mr Freedom outerwear; Rocky Mountain Featherbed winter jackets; and Todd Snyder sweatshirts and pant.

The inspiration for the collections comes from the sartorial details within the two film’s scripts – for instance a traditional smoking jacket is updated in an orange velvet for Kingsman: The Golden Circle, along with modernized takes on Western shirts from both Turnbull & Asser and Jean Shop.  In Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the clothing is as integral to the world of the characters as the cars and the gadgets.  Vaughn, through the support of Phillips and MR PORTER, continues to build upon a product range that is both a distinctive part of his film’s language and an easily translatable collection for the modern gentleman.

Arianne Phillips, Costume Designer says, “I’m thrilled to say that the Kingsman ‘costume to collection’ partnership with MR PORTER continues to be the gold standard within the industry – an uncompromised, visionary and authentic effort in film merchandising, in which we’re not only able to buy into the world of these characters, but also invest in some of the most qualitative and contemporary men’s wear available globally. Our next installment brings us to Kingsman: The Golden Circle, where we continue our bespoke narrative with our elite British spies and also introduces a new set of characters to expand the Kingsman ‘costume to collection.’ With our new characters and story line, I was allowed to explore new avenues with the costumes particularly with the Western influence of the Statesman characters. Not only have we established Kingsman as a legitimate men’s wear brand, but with each new film, we have more and more opportunities to grow the collection in boundless, and organic ways.”
