“Meet The Creatives” Launch at West Hotel Sydney

West Hotel Sydney, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, has launched the first of its ‘Meet the Creatives’ partnerships, a series of activations and events collaborating with creative luminaries from different design-oriented genres.

For the first creative collaboration, the designer hotel has partnered with two Australian fashion identities, Jack Phillips of Eight Eight, and Weave Dibden-Neck of By Weave and ukiyo-co labels. Each has created their own bespoke, limited edition fashion items incorporating the striking white Waratah artwork seen throughout West Hotel, created by notable Australian botanical artist Heidi Willis.

Both items have been inspired by West Hotel’s sophisticated design features. Eight Eight has designed a suave, 33cm silk pocket square for men with a hand-stitch finish featuring the hotel’s signature Waratah motif. Weave has crafted an elegant lounging robe for women, synonymous with ukiyo-co’s stylish lifestyle lounge-wear made from natural fibres, adorned with the Waratah.

As part of the collaboration, By Weave has also created a special exhibition piece inspired by the Waratah motif. It will be on display in the hotel’s foyer for August and September.

The fashionable pieces will be a bonus edition available to West Hotel guests as part of its Weekend Getaway accommodation package, with the first 100 bookings receiving one of these gifts. The package includes overnight accommodation, breakfast, a late check-out and the opportunity to Earn Double Hilton Honors Points. Packages start from $274 per room, per night*
Positioned on the western side of Sydney city centre beside iconic Darling Harbour, lively King Street Wharf, and up-and-coming cultural and retail hub Barangaroo, West Hotel is one of Sydney’s newest designer hotels.

Designed by Australian Architecture firm Fitzpatrick and Partners, with interiors by Woods Bagot, the hotel has a modern classic design theme, featuring deep tones with marble and brass accents. A strong botanical theme runs throughout the hotel, most evident in the beautiful open-air garden atrium and white Waratah motif in the lobby.

The property features 182 stylish guest rooms, including four spacious suites. Each room is equipped with Bluetooth-enabled audio visual technology and an open work area, with suites offering a separate sleek living area. The hotel also features a fully equipped gym and a private meeting/dining room.
