Our friends at Johnnie Walker wanted to share some festive cocktails with us that Sean Baxter (Diageo’s National Whisky Brand Ambassador and MasterChef Australia alumni) has created – here are recipe’s for – Walker’s Christmas Cooler and the Golden Resolution.
Walker’s Christmas Cooler
- 30ml Johnnie Walker Red Label
- 15ml Aperol
- 120ml Cranberry Juice
- 8 mint leaves, picked
- Mint sprig
- Dusting of icing sugar
Add all ingredients into a tall glass (except for the garnish). Add a handful of ice cubes. Stir all ingredients and disperse the mint leaves evenly. Garnish with a freshly bruised mint sprig and dust with icing sugar. 1.2 Standard Drinks
Golden Resolution
- 15 ml Johnnie Walker Gold
- 10 ml Cointreau
- Dash of Angostura bitters
- 90ml French Champagne
- Caster Sugar rim
- Lemon peel
Briefly shake Johnnie Walker Gold Label and Cointreau with plenty of ice. Strain into a champagne flute that has been rimmed with caster sugar and top with chilled French Champagne. Garnish with a peel of lemon after first squeezing it over the top a little. 1.5 Standard Drinks.
