After the enormous success of the first REBORN x Champion capsule, leading social enterprise HoMie is thrilled to announce a second drop of its entirely bespoke, upcycled, one-off designs with global cult label Champion. The second capsule, featuring 43 entirely bespoke garments drops online at 8pm on Thursday, 18 June.
The Bespoke REBORN x Champion Collection
HoMie first unveiled REBORN – an initiative designed to give pre-loved pieces a second life – in March 2020. The first drop of the revolutionary partnership sold out in just 20 minutes when released on May 6th, indicating the curation of ethical fashion and fighting the war on waste is front of mind for consumers.
Skilfully crafted from donated Champion clothing and excess materials, the statement streetwear is truly one-of-a-kind, with the range featuring a selection of bespoke t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hoodies and jumpers, each creatively transformed.
The collaboration was a natural step forward for the two brands, with Champion standing as a long-time supporter of HoMie’s mission and as a partner of its Pathway Alliance program.
“It’s so incredible to work with Champion as a global streetwear powerhouse. The response to our first collection was truly amazing – we never anticipated the global traction. REBORN was created to help eliminate waste and landfill by recreating
garments into one-off unique items and it’s awesome to see consumers buying into this form of sustainability,” says Marcus Crook, Creative Director and Co-Founder of HoMie.
In addition to this evening’s drop, HoMie and Champion will each auction off a bespoke custom REBORN x Champion tracksuit, beginning at 6.30pm on Monday, June 22 across both brands’ Instagram accounts. 100% of the profits from the auction and sales will go towards supporting young people affected by homelessness or hardship.
